DESIGN THINKING

Responsibilities pilot our days. When the time of relax finally comes, users immerse themselves in the world of television series and movies. Beyond dependable functionality the design needed to be approachable and clean. Harmony between mobile, tablet and desktop devices was crucial to a users satisfaction.

My approach:

Minimal interface with a straightforward navigation system
A consistent look and interactions were maintained across device types
Narrow down the color palette, but make sure to use darker shades aligning with the brand and viewing experience
Clean typography and a tight grid reduced the user’s cognitive load while scanning through channels, guides, and, show titles

PERSONALIZATION

One way to encourage exploration was to highlight the explore component. The On Demand tab promotes recent and popular show titles. Beyond the featured items, users can scan the giant library of titles in which to immerse themselves in next.

My approach:

Designing a beautiful On Demand component, encouraging exploration
Incorporate refined type combinations for show titles and descriptions
Drive the user to their favorite show titles in a few taps
