With 250+ live TV channels and 30,000 On Demand shows and movies, the power of choice reigns supreme in mobile streaming. Viewers today are spoiled for options like never before, with a wealth of content available at their fingertips. Television has transcended the confines of a single location and provider. However, this profusion of media, while enriching, has introduced a challenge: the fragmentation of sources and devices. This complexity can hinder users in their quest to seamlessly explore and organize the content that truly captivates them.

A consistent look and interactions were maintained across device types
Narrow down the color palette, but make sure to use darker shades aligning with the brand and viewing experience
Clean typography and a tight grid reduced the user’s cognitive load while scanning through channels, guides, and, show titles

To gain a deeper understanding of our primary users' approaches to discovering new shows and movies, we employed various research techniques. These methods were instrumental in unveiling their behaviors and motivations, providing essential insights for our redesign efforts.
Through a combination of in-person interviews and surveys, the team delved into the existing user behaviors related to show discovery and management. These investigations encompassed an examination of device usage patterns, an analysis of the current TV Guide market landscape, and an exploration of user preferences for show management.
We meticulously reviewed and categorized hundreds of user comments and reviews on both the Apple Store and Play Store platforms. These insights were grouped into meaningful categories and ranked by their significance. This invaluable feedback served as a critical resource for pinpointing pain points and uncovering areas ripe for improvement.
We generated a multitude of ideas and engaged in extensive brainstorming sessions as a product team. Subsequently, I translated these concepts into low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes for testing. The result was the development of four distinct views within the application: Live TV, On Demand, Guide, and Account.
